Go on honey, take a chance!

Thursday, March 06, 2008

You wonder, has it come just to pass, or is it here to stay?
Will it be with you a lifetime, or only a few days?
Can you put your weight down and trust that it will hold?
Will it be a fire that warms you, or will it leave you feeling cold?
Well, you don't know now, but you can know.

If you take a chance on My love, you can know My fire.
Take a chance on us, let Me fulfill your heart's desire.
Give to Me your heart that's aching and broken.
I will warm and heal you with My love,
There'll be no regrets.

If you'd share with Me your heart for just five minutes,
Share your warmth, your love, you'd see,
And know the joy that there is in it.
It's not a game, I know; opening up is always tough,
But if you let the loving flow, you'll find My love is enough.
And that I know, and that you can know.

Please don't close up your heart and push My love aside,
Even if it don't make sense to you.
I just can't hide the way I feel here inside Me,
And how I care for you.
Let Me have a chance to show you that My love is true.

Take a chance on My love, you can know My fire.
Take a chance on us, let Me fulfill your heart's desire.
Give to Me your heart that's aching and broken.
I will warm and heal you with My love,
There'll be no regrets.

All I Can Think Of

Wednesday, February 13, 2008

All I can think of is loving You, when my gaze reaches Your lips then I do
And all I can dream of is holding You, when I hold You I know I'm supposed to
When Heaven's halls open like this I come into Your presence and leave with a kiss, and I praise
Every part of Your glory and beautiful grace, I love You

I can't close my heart when You love me, every touch is surrounded by majesty,
I know I was made to adore You, now my soul is awake to explore You
When Heaven's halls open like this I come into Your presence and leave with a kiss, and I praise
Every part of Your glory and beautiful grace, I love You

The birds they dance, the trees they sing, You're Master over everything
I don't know how this came to be, but my heart I believe

And all I can think of is loving You, when my gaze reaches Your lips then I do
And all I can dream of is loving You, when I hold You I know I'm supposed to
When Heaven's halls open like this I come into Your presence and leave with a kiss, and I praise
Every part of Your glory and beautiful grace, I love You

'Cause all I can think of is loving You.

A Prayer of George Matheson

Friday, January 11, 2008

No part of my being needs Thee like my heart.
All else within me can be filled with Thy gifts.
My hunger can be satisfied by daily bread.
My thirst can be allayed by earthly waters.
My cold can be removed by household fires.
My weariness can be relieved by outward rest.
But no outward thing can make my heart pure.
The calmest day will not calm my passions.
The fairest scene will not beautify my soul.
The richest music will not make harmony within.
The breezes can cleanse the air, but no breeze can cleanse a spirit.
This world has not provided for my heart.
It has provided for my eyes, it has provided for my ears, it has provided for my touch, it has provided for my taste, it has provided for my sense of beauty-but it has not provided for my heart.
Provide Thou for my heart, O Lord!
It is the only unwinged bird in all creation.
Give it wings! O Lord! Give it wings!
Earth has failed to give it wings; its very power of loving has often drawn it into the mire.
Be Thou the strength of my heart.
Be Thou its fortress in temptation, its shield in remorse, its covert in the storm, its star in the night, its voice in the solitude.
Guide it in its gloom, help it in its faintness, prompt it in its perplexity, lead it through its labyrinth, raise it from its ruins.
I cannot rule this heart of mine; keep it under the shadow of Thy Own wings.

Where else could I ever find such love?

Sunday, August 19, 2007

-- Love that is always, love never ending, love without measure.
I praise You, my sweet Lord, for Your unconditional love.

NB: I have and will continue to be posting more of these beautiful lover posters, which I hope you enjoy. When I look at some of these pictures they don’t just represent the physical, that’s why I usually put a quote or expression to Jesus along with them, because these pictures give me goosebumps when I imagine how attainable these moments are in the spiritual plane, one of intense intimacy with Jesus that any top-notch lover on this world will never reach. Sorry folks, but there is a part inside me that can only be filled by Him, and I’m always wanting Him.

Pink Words

Monday, June 25, 2007

Can I tell you something? You are perfect. Everything about you is perfect. I mean, what else can I say? I can cry, I can scream and kick, I can quiver in fear, and yet I know that You are a perfect Father, so in the end You are going to give me the best. I truly believe that. Everything I've seen in this world points to a perfect design, to make bitter or better. And it's because of You.
I choose better. On the wings of the eagle I'm going to fly. On the waves I'm going to rise, to be with You. I determine this. I want this.
Melt my heart Lord, I don't want any harsh crystalisis, no cold, frozen iceblood. That's my prayer Lord. That You keep my heart soft, and my motives pure. Only to be with You. Precious find, beautiful Lover. Fill me and thrill me my wholelife long. You're all I want. My sweet Jesus. xxx

Selah

Psalm 55
4. My heart is sore painted within me, and the terrors of death have fallen upon me.
5. Fearfulness and trembling are come upon me, and horror hath overwhelmed me.
6. And I said, "Oh that I had wings like a dove! for then would I fly away, and be at rest.
7. Lo, then would I wanter far off, and remain in the wilderness. Selah.

Psalm 56
3. What time I am afraid, I will trust in Thee.
9. When I cry unto Thee, then shall mine enemies turn back, this I know, for God is for me.
10. In God will I prasie His Word, in the Lord will I praise His Word.
11. In God have I put my trust, I will not be afraid what man can do unto me.
13. For thou hast deliver my soul from death: wilt not thou deliver my feet from falling, that I may walk before God in the land of the living?

an old moment of meditation

8th November, 2006 AD

Hi Jesus. I missed You. How can I explain how much I miss You, because there's so many things I miss about You. I miss being able to run to You and find comfort in Your arms, finding solutions and answers and so much more. I find excitement when I'm with You. I miss the kewl things You used to tell me and show me when I was with You in Heaven. You were all I wanted, I didn't want to go anywhere without You, because I was happiest with You. I felt safe and secure in Your love, and oh so happy and content. Still, I know that now, in all Your love and Words, it's here all the same, and I will never have to be afraid of losing it. You're always there. Thank You.

amazing grace

Wednesday, March 21, 2007

I used to think this song was dull and lifeless (maybe it was just to do with people singing it in church with just that... no life), but now, it's got a certain something to it. I imagine that it comes to everybody at sometime in their life, it just kinda clicks, and these words begin to make sense, so they're not just words anymore, they're a song from the heart.

Amazing grace! how sweet the sound,
that saved a wretch like me!
I once was lost but now am found,
was blind but now I see.

'Twas grace that taught my heart to fear,
and grace my fears relieved;
how precious did that grace appear
the hour I first believed!

The Lord has promised good to me,
His Word my hope secures;
He will my shield and portion be
as long as life endures.

Through many dangers, toils, and snares,
I have already come;
'tis grace hath brought me safe thus far,
and grace will lead me home.

Yea, when this flesh and heart shall fail,
And mortal life shall cease,
I shall possess, within the veil,
A life of joy and peace.

The world shall soon dissolve like snow,
The sun refuse to shine;
But God, who called me here below,
Shall be forever mine.

When we've been there ten thousand years,
bright shining as the sun,
we've no less days to sing God's praise
than when we'd first begun.W

typical "resting in the Lord" scenario

Wednesday, March 07, 2007

Some men remind me of a poor immigrant who was discovered walking on the tracks of a railroad walking on the tracks of a railroad in New Jersey. On his back he carried a huge bulk and as he trudged on, tired and halk, he resembled Bunyan's pilgrim with his burden. In passing a station an agent ordered him off the track, reminding him he was liable to arrest for tresspassing. The man demurred and produced a railroad ticket good for passage from Jersey City to Scranton. The agent looked at him in amazement, and asked why he was walking when he might ride.
The stranger replied that he thought the ticket gave him on the privilege of walking over the road. His right was explained to him, and the tired man with delight boarded the first train for his destination.
Surely the angels must look with wonderment at the thousands who trudge along, anxious and careworn, bearing life's burdens without Divine help and future hope.
Ah, how many of God's children, through distrust and disbelief, fail to "possess their possessions!"

freedom

Thursday, February 22, 2007

Freedom. Every human soul needs freedom, some dampen the desire with foolish, vain substitutes, others feed the craving.

Sometimes I forget. I ask myself, "Why?" Why do I love you so much? It's because of Your freedom. Your wild and sexy spirit that is ready to push any boundaries or imaginations of this world, any precedented limitations that are there "just because", or the way things are seen because that's the way they always have been perceived. You have something else. You are the X-factor that pushes everything to the limit, to it's full potential, and beyond.

When people run out of things to say, or every idea seems to have been burnt out, You're there. When things are old and humdrum, when every song has been written, when every angle has been covered, when every colour has been washed out, when everything is wasted, You step in. Always with something new and unheard of, and You take me. You enrapture me with Your knowledge and presence, Your very idea that there is always something new to be tried, some thrill that we have yet to experience, some word we have yet to hear that will tingle through our bodies and leave us breathless with excitement!

I love it when You surprise me all over again and show me what true freedom means. I love it. I want it.
